Hasto Kristiyanto's Verdict Is Read Today, Open To The Public Via YouTube

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Corruption Court has scheduled a trial to read the verdict against the defendant PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto in bribery for the management of the interim replacement (PAW) for DPR members 2019-2024 and the obstruction of Harun Masiku's investigation, today, Friday, July 25 at noon.

"We will make the decision on Friday, July 25, 2025 and because Friday there is no pause because Friday, we will do it after Friday prayers," said Chairman of the Panel of Judges at the Central Jakarta Corruption Court Rios Rahmanto after chairing the Hasto Kristiyanto duplication session at the Corruption Court, Central Jakarta, last Friday.

The panel of judges will present their verdict after hearing the indictment, witness testimony, prosecutors' demands, pleas, prosecutors' replicas, and Hasto's duplicate which were delivered in court until Friday, July 18.

Meanwhile, Central Jakarta District Court Spokesperson Andi Saputra said the audience could be watched live on YouTube at the Central Jakarta District Court. Later, people throughout Indonesia can see it.

Andi said that this was done by his party to accommodate those who wanted to witness the proceedings firsthand. The reason is, visitors in the courtroom will be limited and a maximum of 70 people.

"We will limit the number of visitors, according to the maximum capacity is 70 people. We will divide 30 for the community and 40 for media representatives. So it is hoped that by the time of reading, only 70 people will be in the trial. If anyone still comes, it can still be in the lobby of the court area," explained Andi.

He said his party still invited sympathizers to provide support on the road in front of the Central Jakarta District Court. Hasto sympathizers can attend the trial through the Central Jakarta District Court YouTube channel.

"This is based on the evaluation of the previous trial which was quite crowded. From there it was known what was lacking. Most importantly, this is not only for Friday, but in the future because there will be trials that will quite attract public attention as well," concluded Andi.
