Flyover Latumenten Built In August, Pramono Hopes To Overcome Traffic Jams At Train Crossings

JAKARTA - DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung said the DKI Provincial Government will start building flyovers or Flyover Latumenten, West Jakarta. Pramono hopes that the flyover can help unravel congestion that usually occurs around railroad crossings.

"I have asked for the construction to be carried out immediately. Hopefully this August or September can start. But the point is that the Latumenten flyover is hopefully able to overcome congestion due to trains, open and close which often occurs at that location," said Pramono at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Thursday, July 24.

Currently, the planning process has entered the auction. Pramono emphasized that he would not intervene in the tender process carried out by the DKI Provincial Government to determine the holder of the construction project.

"I don't know who won the auction and so on," said Pramono.

On the other hand, Pramono admitted that there had been problems with planning the construction of the Latumenten Flyover, which was in a dense residential area. However, this problem has been resolved.

"What is often a problem and there are also hospitals and indeed the area is densely populated. Sentumenten is one of the priorities to be built immediately," he explained.

For information, the Latumeten Flyover will be built near a mental hospital on Latumeten Street and across the railroad tracks. This flyover was built on the east side of the 440.86 meter road and the west side along the 439.23 meter.

In the construction of the Latumiteten Flyover, the budget allocation was IDR 350.18 billion with funds allocated from the 2025 APBD amounting to IDR 69.07 billion and the 2026 APBD IDR 281.11 billion.
