JAKARTA - The Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Mataram City, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Province stated that the emergency response status of flood disasters in the city will continue until July 19, 2025.

Acting Head of BPBD Mataram City Ahmad Muzaki said the emergency response status for the flood disaster was set for two weeks, namely since the flood occurred from 6 to 19 July 2025.

"Thus, this status will end on Saturday, July 19, 2025, if there is no escalation. If there is, the status can be extended in 1-2 weeks," he said in Mataram, Wednesday, July 16, which was confiscated by Antara.

This was conveyed by Muzaki in response to information on the emergency response status of the Mataram flood disaster ending today, and various activities, such as command posts and public kitchens, will be closed.

Regarding this information, Muzaki said that the emergency response status for the Mataram flood disaster did end today at the NTB Province level, because the province set an emergency status for only 10 days.

Meanwhile, the Mataram City Government, he continued, established a flood disaster emergency response status for 2 weeks. Thus, various emergency response activities are still running as usual.

Such as the Mataram flood emergency response post, public kitchens to provide ready-to-eat food, distribution of clothing and food assistance from donors, health services, and others are still ongoing and centered in the Mataram Mayor's Hall.

For public kitchen services, he continued, it is still ongoing even though the production of packaged rice for the victims has begun to decrease, where last week there were still 6,000 packs per day, starting Monday, July 14, 2025, to 1,500 packs for lunch and dinner.

"The reduction in rice production is in line with people who have returned to their homes and have started their normal activities," he said.

In addition, assistance activities to clean up flood location points, both in rivers, canals using heavy equipment and mutual cooperation at residents' homes and the environment are still ongoing.
