Jokowi Can't Trust Himself When He Finds Out That Kaesang Wants To Be Chairman Of PSI Again

JAKARTA - The 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is said to have felt insecure when he found out that his son, Kaesang Pangarepingin, was the General Chair of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) again for the 2025-2030 period.

"I think yesterday when I signed up, he (Jokowi) was a little bit scared when I signed up. Yes, the South Jakarta 'insecure'," said Kaesang Pangarep when responding to a question from a supporter about how Jokowi responded to the plan to nominate Kaesangdilansir ANTARA, Tuesday, July 15.

Kaesang asked for support from members of PSI South Jakarta to vote for himself in the General Chair Candidate General Election which was held using an electronic system (e-voting).

"I ask for help. To Amang Inang, I am moving forward once again to become the General Chair of PSI. I ask for prayers, I hope everything goes well," continued Kaesang.

During the campaign in Cipedak Village, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Kaesang was asked for help by PSI members who were religiously averaged.

They asked for help so that the permit for the establishment of a house of worship could be easy, because for decades they have not had a permanent place of worship.

Kaesang also stated that he was ready to help them to manage the establishment of houses of worship through his cadres who currently sit on the DKI Jakarta Regional House of Representatives (DPRD).

Kaesang stated that when the council members were unable to do it, he would intervene to help them.

"Regardless I will be the General Chair or not, I will remain committed when the members of the council cannot resolve the problems that are here. I still have permission to join later to resolve everything here," he said.

On Tuesday, PSI caketum Kaesang Pangarep held a campaign in three locations located in North Jakarta, South Jakarta and also East Jakarta.
