JAKARTA - In commemoration of the 498th Anniversary of Jakarta, the Indonesian Lentera Sanjeev Foundation in collaboration with the Indonesian Catholic University Alumni Association Atma Jaya Jakarta (Perluni UAJ) held a public seminar entitled Reading Jakarta: From the Vision of Founding Parents to Smart City. This event was held at the Atma Jaya Unique Campus, Jakarta, and succeeded in attracting high enthusiasm from the public.

He invited participants to make historical reflection the basis for welcoming the transformation of the capital city.

He gave an example of the Dam Afsluitdijk project in the Netherlands which was successful due to collaboration between the government and the academic community.
Deputy Chairperson of the Jakarta Provincial BAPPEDA, Deftrianov, conveyed the Jakarta Provincial Government's commitment to developing responsive and participatory policies through the use of technology and data disclosure. He emphasized that Jakarta is being prepared to become a globally competitive city at the world level, with a target of entering the top 20 global cities.
