JAKARTA - Marketing Director of PT JIExpo, Ralph Scheunemann admitted that the total transaction value for the Jakarta Fair Kemayoran 2025 was lower than last year.

In organizing this year, the committee noted that the Jakarta Fair had recorded a circulation of IDR 7.3 trillion. Meanwhile, in 2024, the largest exhibition event in Southeast Asia recorded a transaction nominal of up to IDR 7.5 trillion.

Ralph admitted that this was due to a 7-day reduction in the Jakarta Fair when compared to last year. This year, Jakarta Raya Week will be held in less than one month, from June 19 to July 13.

"Transactions will be reached between Rp7.2 trillion to Rp7.3 trillion. That is what is estimated. Compared to last year, last year it was Rp7.5 trillion. So yes, maybe around Rp200 billion below it. , "said Ralph to reporters, Sunday, July 13.

The committee was forced to cut the number of days of the Jakarta Fair which was originally scheduled to be held from June 12. This is because the location of the Jakarta International Expo (JIExpo) was used by the Ministry of Defense for Indo Defense activities from June 11 to 14.

In addition, the number of visitors to the Jakarta Fair this year also decreased compared to last year. During the event from June 19 to July 13, it was recorded that around 5.9 million people visited Jakarta Raya Week.

Despite the disappointment, Ralph views that the number of visits per day is actually not much different from 2024.

"If there is a definite disappointment. It's just that this happens outside of our will, we can be mentioned like force majeur. But yes, we can prove that we are compact apple to apple with a reduction in the day, we actually if there is no reduction, we are above last year," he said.

Apart from this, Ralph emphasized that the annual celebration at JIExpo still benefits a wider deal, namely the opening of jobs. A total of 2,550 companies with 1,550 booths are said to have participated in enlivening the Jakarta Fair 2025 event.

It was noted that at least 25 thousand people worked during the Jakarta Fair event, starting from the SPG team, cleanliness, security, and others.

"Indeed, transactions are very important, but what is no less important is creating jobs. There are many SPGs and contractors and others participating in this work at the Jakarta Fair," he added.
