Starting A Visit In Europe, Prabowo Arrives In Belgium Will Meet The President Of The European Commission

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto arrived in Brussels Belgium, to begin his state trip in Europe.

In this activity, Prabowo is scheduled to hold a meeting with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen to Belgian King Philippe.

Based on an official statement received by Antara in Jakarta, Sunday, July 13, President Prabowo Subianto arrived at Brussels Airport on Saturday 12 July afternoon local time.

Arriving at the airport, President Prabowo was officially welcomed by the Director-General for Asia and Oceania,ria Delhaye.

In addition, he also welcomed the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Indonesia for the Belgian Kingdom Andri Hadi and the Defense Attache of the Indonesian Embassy in The Hague, Marine Colonel (P) Rikrik Permady Sobana.

After welcoming him to the airport, the Head of State boarded an official vehicle that had been prepared and continued his journey to the hotel where he spent the night.

When he arrived at the hotel, the President was greeted by the diaspora waving the Red and White flag. When he was about to enter the hotel lobby, Prabowo received a bouquet of flowers from two children in the diaspora, one of whom was named Kalla.

"Welcome Mr. President Prabowo," said the six-year-old Kalla.

While in Brussels, the President is scheduled to hold an important meeting with a number of leaders of high EU institutions, namely European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council President Antonio Costa.

The two meetings will focus on strengthening the strategic partnership between Indonesia and the European Union.

In addition to the joint agenda of the European Union, the President is also planned to hold a meeting with Belgian King Philippe at the Laeken Palace.

This meeting is a strategic diplomatic step for Indonesia to develop and strengthen strategic relations between the two countries, as well as explore the potential for constructive cooperation between Indonesia and Belgium in various fields.

Also accompanying the Head of State on a flight to Brussels, namely Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya.

Meanwhile, a number of ministers from the Red and White Cabinet who had arrived earlier in Brussels and welcomed the President at the hotel, namely Coordinating Minister for the Economy Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Investment and Downstreaming who is also CEO of BPI Danantara Indonesia Rosan Roeslani, Minister of Trade Budi Santoso, and other officials DCM KBRI Brussels Muhammad Takdir and Defense Army Attache KBRI Den Hague Colonel CPM Ade san Arief.
