CIANJUR - The Resort Police (Polres) of Cianjur, West Java, arrested 10 suspected perpetrators of raping a 16-year-old girl, a resident of Sukaresmi District. The other two perpetrators are still at large and on the wanted list (DPO).

Kasatreskrim Cianjur Police Commissioner Adjutant Tono Listianto said the case occurred from June 19 to 22, 2025.

The victim was raped in turns by 12 perpetrators in a number of different locations, from the Puncak area to villas in Cipanas.

"Initially the victim was invited by four youths who were still in the same village to the Puncak area. There the victim was first raped," said Tono in Cianjur, quoted from Antara, Friday, July 11.

The next day, the victim was handed over to two other perpetrators who raped her again. On June 21 and 22, the victim was taken to a villa in the Cipanas area and raped again by six other perpetrators in turns.

The victim finally managed to return home on June 23 and reported the incident to his parents. The report was then forwarded to the Cianjur Police Station. The police moved quickly and managed to arrest 10 perpetrators in a number of different locations. Four of the 10 perpetrators are known to be minors and students.

"While the other two perpetrators are still being chased. We ask them to surrender immediately or we will take firm action if there is resistance," said Tono.

The perpetrators were charged with Article 81 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection. They face a maximum prison sentence of 15 years. Tono also appealed to parents to further tighten supervision of children, especially girls.

"Don't let your child leave the house without assistance. This incident is an important lesson for all of us," he said.
