Polda Metro Takes Over Diplomat Death Case, Target Completed For A Week

JAKARTA - Metro Jaya Police Chief Inspector General Karyoto stated that the handling of the case of the death of the Deputy Expert Diplomat of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Kemenlu), Arya Daru Pangayunan, was withdrawn to Polda Metro Jaya.

The case was previously known to be handled by the Central Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim).

"I have taken it at the regional police level," Karyoto told reporters, Thursday, July 10, evening.

According to him, Polda Metro Jaya has a lot of experience in handling cases with high complexity. Thus, Karyoto is optimistic that the mystery of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death will be revealed.

"We have had a lot of experience at the metro police with a lot of experience, which is clear that we are comprehensive," he said.

In fact, Karyoto also stated that the case would be completed within the next week. Currently, the investigative team will continue to explore and look for evidence and clues to solve the mystery of Arya Daru Pangayunan's death.

"Maybe another week is finished, there will be conclusions. God willing, hopefully it will be finished in a week," said Karyoto.

Arya Daru Pangayunan was found dead with his face wrapped in yellow duct tape in the 'Gues House Gondia' indecoth in room 105, Jalan Gondangdia Kecil, No 22, Cikini Village, Menteng District, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, Tuesday, July 8.

Currently, the body of Arya Daru Pangayunan has been taken to the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital (RSCM) for an autopsy to determine the exact cause of death.
