KKB Elkius Kobak Allegedly Mastermind Behind The Murder Of Honorary Employees Of The Yahukimo Regency Government

JAKARTA - The Armed Criminal Group (KKB) is suspected of being the mastermind behind the death of a civilian named Joy Jonathan Boroh (24) in Dekai District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains.

Head of Damai Cartenz Police, Brigadier General Faizal Ramadhani, said the allegations were the result of an initial investigation and referred to a statement from Seby Sambom on social media, claiming to be a TPNPB-OPM spokesman, and stated that he had killed an Indonesian military member.

"The allegation is based on the results of the initial investigation. The perpetrator is suspected to be part of the KKB led by Elkius Kobak," said Faizal in his statement, Saturday, July 5.

Faizal emphasized that his party was following up on this case seriously and committed to arresting and trying the perpetrators. The plan is that the follow-up crime scene processing process will be carried out by the Yahukimo Police Satreskrim as part of the further process of collecting evidence, today.

"We have dispatched a team to the Yahukimo area to handle this case seriously. Law enforcement will be carried out thoroughly to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and tried in accordance with applicable regulations," said Faizal.

Regarding the chronology of the murder, Faizal could not convey in detail. However, the body of Joy Jonathan Boroh, who is an honorary employee at the Yahukimo Regency Government, was found by the witness in a pathetic condition on Friday, July 4 at around 16.00 WIT.

The victim's body was found with several wounds from sharp weapons on several parts of the body, such as the neck, armpits, chest, back, and palms of the hand.

"The injuries show intentional serious violence," said Faizal.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Public Relations Task Force for the Damai Cartenz Ops, Kombes Yusuf Sutejo, appealed to the public to remain calm and not be easily provoked by irresponsible issues spread on social media and from certain groups.

In addition, the public is also asked to participate in maintaining the security and social security situation by immediately reporting if they know information related to the perpetrator or the incident.
