KPK Prosecutor Regarding Hasto's Order To 'Drown': Secretary General Of The Party For Shirt Management?

JAKARTA - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) at the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) considered it illogical if the 'sprinkling' order from the PDIP Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto, was interpreted as a tradition of carrying Kusnadi's clothes as the PDIP DPP secretariat staff.

Because, based on information from a linguist from the University of Indonesia (UI), Frans Asisi Datang the order refers to the cellphone.

This opinion was conveyed by Frans in the trial of the alleged bribery case in the management of the DPR's time (PAW) for the 2019-2024 period and the obstruction of Harun Masiku's investigation,

"Thus the word in the word "drowned" clearly refers to the cellphone and when referring to clothes it becomes illogical or unreasonable," said Prosecutor Takdir reading the results of the juridical analysis of the indictment in a trial at the Jakarta Corruption Court, Thursday, July 3.

In fact, the prosecutor was interested on the pretext of Kusnadi who said Hasto ordered him to put his clothes on. This is because Hasto, who is the Secretary General of the party, must immediately intervene to take care of his staff's clothes.

"For what purpose is the Defendant who is a party secretary general to take care of the clothes his staff wear after the ritual went up? How valuable is the clothes so Kusnadi is asked not to love if he throws them away?" said Takdir.

It is known, the drowning order was revealed when the prosecutor read out the contents of the message from the contact number Sri Rejeki Hastomo. Hasto argued that the order was just a directive to put clothes on.

"Ready, sir," said Gara Baskara.

"Just this HP. Okay, thanks. That one just drowned. Don't think about love and others," said Sri Rejeki Hastomo.

"Ready, sir. You have permission to go to PIK first," said Gara Baskara.

In this case, Hasto was charged by the Public Prosecutor (JPU) with 7 years in prison. In addition, the prosecutor also charged Hasto Kristiyanto with a fine of Rp. 600 million. If it is not paid, it will be replaced with a prison sentence of 6 months.

"The defendant Hasto Kristiyanto was sentenced to 7 years in prison," said Prosecutor Wawan Yunarwanto.

Meanwhile, Hasto was jointly charged with advocate Donny Tri Istiqomah, former PDIP cadre Saeful Bahri, and Harun Masiku were charged with giving bribes of Rp 600 million to Wahyu Setiawan (KPU commissioner) in the 2019-2020 period.

This bribe is so that Wahyu seeks the KPU to approve the application of PAW for the South Sumatra Election Candidate (Sumsel) I on behalf of DPR members for the 2019-2024 period Riezky Aprilia to Harun Masiku.

Hasto was also charged with obstructing the investigation by ordering Harun, through the Aspiration House guard, Nur Hasan, to submerge Harun's cell phone into the water after the KPK OTT incident against Wahyu Setiawan.

Not only Harun Masiku's cellphone, Hasto is also said to have ordered his aide, Kusnadi, to drown his cell phone in anticipation of forced attempts by KPK investigators.

Hasto was charged with Article 21 and Article 5 paragraph (1) letter a or Article 13 of Law (UU) Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 in conjunction with Article 65 paragraph (1) and Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 in conjunction with Article 64 paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.
