JAKARTA - The United States has approved the sale of a US$510 million (around Rp8.24 trillion) guide system for Israeli bunkers and regular bombs.

"The Department of Foreign Affairs has made a decision approving the possibility of Foreign Military Sales to the Israeli Government in the form of Ammunition Guidelines and Ammunition Support as well as equipment related to an estimated USD 510 million," the US Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said. , Tuesday, July 1.

Israel has asked to obtain 3,845 guidance equipment for the 2,000-pound BLU-109 bomb and 3,280 equipment for the 500-pound Constitutional Court bomb.

Earlier, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi urged the UN Security Council to recognize Tel Aviv and Washington as initiators who initiated aggression and demanded that they compensate for the damage caused during the attack on Iran.

The statement was made by Araghchi in an official letter to the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, Monday (30/6).

"We formally request that the Security Council recognize the regimes of Israel and the United States as initiators of aggression action and recognize their responsibilities, including compensation and reparasion payments," the letter reads as quoted from the minister's official Telegram channel.

Araghchi also called for the UN Security Council to hold them accountable for the aggression and prevent similar crimes from recurring.

Israel launched operations against Iran on the night of June 13, accusing it of carrying out a secret military nuclear program. Targets from air bombings and attacks by sabotage groups include nuclear facilities, military generals, leading nuclear physicists, and air bases.

Iran rejects the allegations and responds with military attacks. The two sides launched attacks on each other for 12 days with the United States participating in this conflict by launching a one-time attack on Iran's nuclear facilities on the night of June 22.
