JAKARTA - Israel killed more than 30 senior security officials and 11 senior nuclear scientists to deliver a crushing blow to Iran's nuclear ambitions.

This report was submitted by senior Israeli military officials on Friday in a summary of Israel's 12-day air warfare with Iran.

In the United States, an independent expert said a commercial satellite image review showed only a small number of about 30 Iranian missiles that broke through Israel's air defenses managed to hit a significant military target.

"Iran hasn't produced a missile that shows high accuracy,"AT Eveleth, associate research analyst at CNA Corporation who specializes in satellite imagery, told Reuters.

In Israel, the senior military official said Israel's June 13 opener to Iran undermined its air defenses and disrupted its ability to respond in the early hours of critical conflict.

The Israeli air force attacked more than 900 targets and the military significantly damaged Iran's missile production during the war that ended in a US-brokered ceasefire, the official said.

"The Iranian nuclear project suffered a major blow: The regime's ability to enrich uranium to 90% has been neutralized for a long time. Its current ability to produce nuclear weapons cores has been neutralized," the official said.

Iran denies seeking to build nuclear weapons, retaliating the attack with a series of missiles to Israeli military locations and cities.

Iran said it forced the end of the war by penetrating Israel's defenses.

Iranian authorities say 627 people have died in Iran, where the extent of the damage cannot be independently confirmed due to strict restrictions on the media. Israeli authorities say 28 people have died in Israel.

Eveleth, an independent US expert, said Iranian missile forces were not accurate enough to destroy small military targets such as US-made F-35 fighter jets in their shelters.

"Therefore, the only targets they can attack regularly are major cities or industrial targets such as oil refineries in Haifa," he told Reuters.

Iran's missile strike limited by Israeli airstrikes in Iran has no density to reach a high extent of damage, he wrote on X.

"At the current level of performance, none has effectively stopped Israel from carrying out the same operations in the future with similar results," he wrote.

Meanwhile, Israel's Defense Minister, Israel Katz said it had directed the military to draw up plans to maintain air superiority over Iran, prevent nuclear development and missile production, and deal with Iran's support for militant operations against Israel.

Israel's Chief of Military Staff, Lieutenant General, Eyal Zamir, said the results in Iran could help advance Israel's goals against the Iranian-backed Palestinian militant group Hamas in the Gaza Strip.

Zamir told troops in Gaza, Israel's land operation, known as Gideon's Battle Train, in the near future would achieve its goal of controlling the Palestinian enclave and giving the Israeli government a choice for further action.
