Sukamta Appointed As Leader Of Commission I Of The DPR, Replace Ahmad Heryawan

JAKARTA - Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Sufmi Dasco Ahmad, officially appointed Sukamta as Deputy chairman of Commission I of the DPR from the PKS faction, replacing Ahmad Heryawan or Aher.

Meanwhile, Aher now serves as Chairman of the Community Aspirations Agency (BAM) replacing his wife, Netty Prasetiyani Heryawan.

"We need to convey that based on Article 58 of the DPR RI Regulation Number 1 of 2020 concerning rules, the leadership of Commission I of the DPR RI is a package that remains valid for 5 years. Related to this, the leadership of the DPR RI has received a letter from the leadership of the PKS faction Number 293 dated June 23, 2025, regarding the change in the assignment of Council Apparatus, then the leadership of Commission I of the DPR RI from the Prosperous Justice Party faction has transferred the original change from Dr. Haji Ahmad Heryawan A453 to be replaced by Dr. H Sukamta A471," said Dasco, Thursday, June 26.

"Therefore, in the Commission I meeting of the DPR RI, Dr. H. Sukamta A471 will be appointed as Deputy Chairman of Commission I of the DPR," he continued.

Dasco then asked for the approval of all members of Commission I of the DPR to appoint Sukamta as the head of the commission from today.

"And as the chairperson of the meeting, he will ask Commission I of the DPR RI whether Dr. H. Sukamta A471 can be approved to be appointed as Deputy Chairman of Commission 1 of the DPR RI?" asked Dasco followed by the hammer of approval.

After the new leadership of Commission I of the DPR, Dasco explained that the replacement of the deputy chairman of the commission in charge of international relations was the decision of the PKS faction.

"Yes, today there is a rotation from the PKS faction, which is a normal thing. If the reason for being replaced is the policy of the faction, in accordance with the rules in the DPR, that it is the authority of each faction," explained Dasco.
