CFD Sudirman-Thamrin June 29 Canceled Due To Jakarta International Marathon

JAKARTA - The Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) has canceled the implementation of the car-free day (CFD) along Jalan Jenderal Sudirman-MH Thamrin on Sunday, June 29.

The cancellation of the Sudirman-Thamrin CFD was due to the BTN Jakarta International Marathon (JAKIM) event which was attended by around 30 thousand runners.

"In the implementation of the international event BTN Jakarta International Marathon 2025, the car-free day (HBKB) on June 25, 2025 was canceled," said Head of the Jakarta Transportation Agency Syafrin Liputo in his statement, Thursday, June 26.

Syafrin explained that the cancellation of the CFD was in accordance with Article 5 paragraph (1) of the Jakarta Governor Regulation Number 12 of 2016 concerning the Implementation of the Car-Free Day.

"The article stipulates that the implementation of HBKB can be canceled if at the same time a special, national or international event is also held, where the activity requires special traffic and security arrangements," said Syafrin.

In addition, as many as 32 roads in Jakarta were closed during the implementation of JAKIM 2025. Road closures were carried out from 03.30 to 11.30 a.m. Western Indonesian Time (WIB), including:

2. Intersection of Jalan Medan Merdeka Selatan-Jalan Thamrin, East side

3. Intersection of Jalan Kebon Sirih-Jalan Thamrin, East side

6. Intersection of Jalan Agus Salim-Jalan Imam Bonjol

7. Intersection of Jalan H.O.S. Cokroaminoto-Jalan Imam Bonjol
