628 Uninhabitable Houses Repaired By Bogor City Government

BOGOR Bogor City Government (Pemkot) handed over 628 social assistance for the 2025 Uninhabitable House (RTLH) program to residents of West Bogor District.

The handover was symbolically carried out by the Mayor of Bogor, Dedie A. Rachim, at Field RW 02, Sindangbarang Village, Wednesday, June 25. This activity is part of a series of commemorations of the 543rd Bogor Anniversary (HJB).

Dedie said that RTLH assistance is a form of government concern to improve the quality of life of the community. He hopes that house repairs will not only have an impact on physical comfort, but also contribute to the health and welfare of the citizens.

"The point is that we allocate the budget as a form of attention for the community. If the house is repaired, then the air circulation and lighting will be better, this will have an impact on the health, growth and development of children, and the spirit of family life," said Dedie.

He added that this program was also part of the 'Healthy Bogor' initiative. Dedie asked the Housing and Settlement Service (Disperumkim) to improve the quality of house repairs, including by increasing the budget allocation per unit from the previous Rp720 million to Rp2530 million.

Dedie also recalled the success of the RTLH program when he was still serving as Deputy Mayor of Bogor accompanying Bima Arya. At that time, the target of 5,000 houses per year was exceeded, with a total of 33 thousand houses repaired in three years, exceeding the initial target of 25 thousand units.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Bogor City Disperumkim, Juniar Estiningsih, said that the distribution of RTLH assistance was carried out in stages in six sub-districts. West Bogor District became the first region to receive assistance this month, coinciding with the 553rd HJB.

He ensured that the distribution process was carried out through strict verification in the field so that aid was right on target. The budget proposal was prepared based on the condition of the house proposed by the community with the support of RT, RW, kelurahan, and sub-districts.

"The designation must be appropriate. All proposals are verified in the field, adjusted to real conditions, and must be accounted for," explained Juniarti.

Responding to the mayor's direction regarding increasing the allocation of funds, the Disperumkim will adjust regulations, including changes to the Mayor's Regulation (Perwali) which regulates the amount of RTLH assistance.

"We will change the guardianship so that the allocation can be Rp. 25 to Rp. 30 million per house. But according to the direction of the Mayor, this program must be completed into a healthy home, including the latrine program in it," concluded Juniarti.
