JAKARTA - The Israeli military said seven personnel, an officer, and six soldiers were killed in an explosion in the southern Gaza Strip on Tuesday.
In a separate incident, a soldier was also seriously injured in southern Gaza.
As reported by Reuters on Wednesday, June 25, Israeli media reported the seven people were in the city of Khan Younis when the explosive device that was 'planted' in their vehicle exploded and caught fire.
The war in Gaza was triggered when Hamas-led militants attacked Israel on October 7, 2023, killing 1,200 people and holding 251 people hostage, according to Israeli tallies.
Israel's next air and land warfare in Gaza has killed more than 56,000 Palestinians, according to Hamas-run health ministry.
According to an Israeli military tally, 19 soldiers have been killed since early June during fighting on the track.
