Police Persecutor Of Baby To Death Immediately Undergo Trial

Investigators from the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation of the Central Java Police have transferred the case of Brigadier AK, a member of the Central Java Police who was suspected of molesting a 2-month-old baby to death, to the Semarang City District Attorney (Kejari).

Head of the General Crimes Section of the Semarang City Kejari, Sarwanto, said that the defendant and his evidence were transferred for further prosecution.

"There are 22 pieces of evidence, including baby clothes, DNA examination report letters, and a car," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, June 19.

After the filing of the charges is completed, he said, the case will soon be transferred to the court for trial.

In this case, the suspect AK was charged with Law Number 17 of 2016 concerning Child Protection or Article 338 of the Criminal Code concerning murder, or Article 351 of the Criminal Code concerning persecution.

Previously, the Central Java Police investigated the case of the death of a 2-month-old baby who was allegedly abused by a police officer with the initials Brigadier AK.

Brigadier AK was reported by DJ, the mother of a 2-month-old baby with the initials NA, to the police on suspicion of abuse until the victim died.

For the alleged crime, the Police Professional Ethics Commission (KEPP) of the Central Java Police has also sentenced the dismissal of Brigadier AK with disrespect.

Brigadier AK was declared to have committed a disgraceful act, namely being suspected of having a relationship with a woman outside of marriage and having a child.

In addition, AK also committed a criminal act of taking the lives of minors.
