SUMBAR - The West Pasaman District Attorney (Kejari) in West Sumatra (West Sumatra) has detained four suspects suspected of corruption in the construction project of the Ujung Gading Primary Hospital (RS) building.

The construction was carried out in 2018 with a budget of IDR 24.5 billion under the West Pasaman Health Service (Dinkes) agency.

"Until now, we have detained four suspects but the detention is different," said Head of the West Pasaman District Attorney's Office (Kajari) M. Yusuf Putra at Simpang Empat, Thursday, June 19, confiscated by Antara.

Yusuf explained that the four suspects were detained at different times. The suspect with the initials FA as the supervisory consultant team leader was named a suspect and detained on June 12, 2025, while the suspect with the initials HY as the budget user and SA as the executor of the work was detained on June 16, 2025.

Previously, the Commitment Making Officer (PPK) initial E was detained on May 22, 2025.

He said the determination of the suspect and detention was carried out after the investigative team carried out a series of investigative actions to collect evidence.

He added that the implementation of the construction was carried out not according to the technical specifications and provisions that were bound in the contract.

So that based on the results of the test as a function, there was a decrease in the blocks A, B and C of the building.

In block C buildings it is not suitable to function and be used because the slope has crossed the threshold and is declared dangerous for user safety.

"This caused state financial losses of Rp6,364,958,045.87 according to the investigative examination report in the context of calculating BPK RI state losses Number: 13/LHP/XXI/04/2025 dated April 21, 2025.

The suspect is subject to a primary article, namely Article 2 paragraph (1) jo. Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended and supplemented by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

Then, the subsidiary violated Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption as amended and added by Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2001 concerning amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 31 of 1999 concerning the eradication of criminal acts of corruption in conjunction with Article 55 Paragraph (1) to 1 of the Criminal Code.

"The suspects were detained for 20 days at the Class IIB Padang Detention Center," he said.

He emphasized that the investigative team was still continuing the investigation at the investigation stage to immediately complete the case files to be transferred to the prosecution and trial stages.
