Ministry Of Religion Says Three Hajj Pilgrims From Tangerang Died

The Office of the Ministry of Religion (Kankemenag) of Tangerang Regency, Banten, reported that as many as three pilgrims from the area died on their way to worship in the Holy Land.

Head of the Hajj and Umrah Organizing Section at the Tangerang Regency Ministry of Religion Office, Hasim said that of the three pilgrims who died during the pilgrimage, it was Kusnandar Edi Adimihardja, a resident of Curug, Ida Imih Videl, a resident of East Sepatan and Suryanto Ali Sidin, a resident of Legok, Tangerang Regency.

"The three congregants each from the flying group (koter) 40 JKG, 11 JKG and 29 JKG. Two deceased in Makkah and one in Jeddah," he said.

He explained that the pilgrim from Tangerang Regency, which was reported by the medical team, died from the illness suffered by the deceased. Where, they were declared dead on their way to Jeddah and Makkah.

"Based on the medical team's report, this pilgrim died of illness. Such as heart disease and digestive disorders. Of the three died on May 18, 31 and June 9, 2025," he explained.

Hasim said, the funeral process for the three deceased was carried out in the Holy Land. All maintenance financing has been fully borne by the Indonesian government.

He also said that in general the condition of prospective pilgrims from the JGK Embarkation was in good health and well to the implementation of the peak of worship in the Holy Land.

"In general, Hajj pilgrims from Tangerang, thank God they are good and healthy. The whole process of worship is running smoothly," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Tangerang Regency Ministry of Religion, H Ade Baijuri added, currently as many as 391 pilgrims from the area have returned to their homeland marked by the return of the Flying Group (kloter) 05 JKG Pondok Gede on Friday morning (13/6).

The return of the 05 JKG group is the first return from the pilgrims from their area.

"A pilgrims from Tangerang Regency have arrived with batch 05 JKG who have carried out the entire series of Hajj services in the Holy Land this year," he said.

The 05 JKG cluster has completed a series of Hajj services in the Holy Land of Makkah and Medina, Saudi Arabia, by arriving in the country on Friday morning by via Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

Then, after that the pilgrims were first dispatched to the Hajj dormitory to undergo several series of administrative checks and health checks by officers.

"And thank God, all of them are in good health. They managed to carry out worship in the Holy Land smoothly even though the temperature/weather there was quite high," he said.

He said, after going through a series of transits and the inspection process for the pilgrims, it was then handed over through the local Ministry of Religion Office to return to their respective regions.

He also hopes that the pilgrims from Tangerang Regency who have completed a series of worship in the Holy Land will receive the title of Hajj major.

"And throughout this series, we are grateful to be able to run smoothly. This is the result of the cooperation and support of all parties in the success of organizing the 2025 Hajj," said Ade.
