JAKARTA - Iran's senior military official, General Ahmad Vahidi said "Operation True Promise 3" as Iran's retaliatory attack will continue as long as necessary.
Iran's Republican News Agency, IRNA, Saturday, June 19, reported the second wave of attacks had begun against targets within Israel, with Israeli media reporting a major explosion as Iranian missiles rained down on the region.
Reported by ANTARA, reports said the missiles were launched from the capital Tehran and Kermanshah in western Iran, towards targets deep within Israeli territory.
Iran began a counter-attack on Israeli targets on Friday evening local time, after Israeli aggression targeted several locations in Iran, including residential buildings, within Iran.
Images and footage taken by Israelis showed Iranian missiles exploded when they hit the target and created a large fireball.
In the early hours of Friday, the Israeli regime began a series of military attacks in and around Iran's capital, Tehran, and other Iranian cities. Simultaneously, and anticipating a devastating response from Iran, Israel's Chief of Military Affairs, Katz, declared an emergency status throughout Israel.
The Israeli military also carried out attacks targeting Iranian military officials. The head of the Iranian Armed Forces Chief of Staff, Major General Mohammad Baqeri, and the Supreme Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Major General Hossein Salami, were reportedly killed in Tehran.
