JAKARTA - The United States (US) federal judge suspended President Donald Trump's decision to take over control of the California National Guard and deploy troops to Los Angeles amid immigration protests in the state.
"His actions violate the law -- either because they exceed his legal authority or violate the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution," US District Judge Charles Breyer wrote in a decision granting the request for suspension.
The defendants are temporarily banned from deploying California National Guard members to Los Angeles, Breyer continued.
The defendants were ORDERed to return control of the California National Guard to Governor Gavin Newsom.

Trump previously ordered a takeover of 2,000 California National Guard personnel by the weekend, as tensions escalated on the streets of Los Angeles.
The President also allowed the deployment of an additional 2,000 members of the National Guard and 700 US Marines to assist Immigration and Customs (ICE) operations in arresting migrants without documents living in the region.
The blocking order was carried out until June 13, in order to give time for both parties to file arguments and appeals in court.
The judge has scheduled a follow-up hearing on June 20 to hear an official statement from both parties.
