Sri explained that the proposal aims to respond to the needs of the community, especially the younger generation, who want subsidized houses near the work location.

"So, the goal is that (subsidized houses) can approach urban areas or at better prices, so that certain decile people who have not thought so far can have a house, later they can have a house," explained Sri.
With the presence of various choices, people can choose subsidized houses according to their needs and abilities.
For example, Sri said, people who already have children are likely to take a larger house.
Meanwhile, single people can choose a smaller house at a relatively cheaper price.
According to Sri, the areas that are the main targets of subsidized housing development include metropolitan and agglomeration. In this context, areas outside Jabodetabek are also the scope of development targets.
This plan is still in the process of being discussed. The Ministry of PKP plans to invite various associations and experts, such as the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI), to perfect regulations.
Sri also said that developers and banks welcomed this initiative. They are also actively providing technical input to the government, such as the width of the building.
Meanwhile, BP Tapera Commissioner Heru Pudyo Nugroho ensured that subsidized housing financing would continue to use the Housing Financing Liquidity Facility (FLPP), with a 75 percent APBN scheme and 25 percent of banks.
