TANGERANG - Tangerang Police confirmed that they would help with medical expenses until Ismiarti recovered (46), the mugging victim suffered injuries to his mouth and teeth.

Tangerang Deputy Chief of Police, AKBP Christian Aer, said that the treatment and treatment assistance was aimed at easing the burden on the families of the victims.

Christian said that this step was a form of responsibility for the National Police in serving and protecting the community.

"And this is a form of our commitment in providing services and protection to victims and the community," he said.

Meanwhile, the Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tangerang Police, Kompol Arief N Yusuf, said that the victim suffered injuries because he fell from a vehicle after being pulled by the thief while riding a motorbike. As a result, the victim had to undergo surgery at the Tangerang District Hospital.

"Therefore, we took the initiative to provide treatment assistance to victims by conducting medical operations at the hospital," he said.

The robbery experienced by the victim occurred on Jalan Autonom, Talagasari Village, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency. The perpetrator with the initials ZA (27) has been arrested.

"The perpetrator was secured at his residence. And the perpetrator immediately admitted his actions," said Arief.

From the arrest, the police also secured evidence of a motorcycle used during the robbery.

For the actions of the perpetrators, his party ensnared Article 365 of the Criminal Code regarding theft with violence or threats with a sentence of up to five years in prison.
