JAKARTA - A man was arrested after infiltrating the Windsor Palace area where Prince William and Kate Middleton live in England.

The perpetrator in his 30s infiltrated the Royal residence at 1 pm on Sunday, June 1 local time. After being arrested, it was found that the perpetrator was carrying class A drugs.

"A man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of abuses in a protected place, and possession of Class A drugs after entering a restricted area at Windsor Castle," a Metropolitan Police spokesman told Mirror, Wednesday, June 4.

However, shortly after his arrest, the man was released on bail.

However, investigations are still being carried out by the Metropolitan Police and the Thames Valley Police to investigate the intent of the perpetrators infiltrating Windsor Castle.

The arrest process was carried out not far from Adelaide Cotttage, where William, Kate, and their three children live.

British Royal Expert Richard FitzWilliams said Windsor Palace security needed to be improved considering it was vulnerable to infiltration.

"This highlights that security is the most important thing for members of the royal family," he said.

"It's hard to know how they respond [the Royal family], but for one reason or another, people have the potential to be regularly interested in doing this," FitzWilliams continued.
