Head Of PCO: Constitutional Court Decision No Deputy Minister's Statement Must Not Confiscate Positions

JAKARTA - The name of the Deputy Minister in the Prabowo Subianto Cabinet concurrently served as commissioner and or supervisory board of SOEs had caused a polemic. Executive Director of Indonesia Law & Democracy Studies Juhady Rizaldy Ruringkon submitted a judicial review of Law no. 39 of 2008 concerning the Ministry of State at the Constitutional Court.

In the material of Article 23 of the State Ministry of State Law, Juhady felt aggrieved by his constitutional rights and submitted it to the Constitutional Court to test it. This is because the article only regulates the prohibition of concurrent positions against ministers, while the deputy does not.

Head of the Presidential Communication Office (PCO) Hasan Nasbi responded to the hectic polemic regarding the concurrent position of Deputy Minister in the Prabowo-Gibran Red and White Cabinet. To reporters, Tuesday, June 3, Hasan Nasbi revealed that no one has prohibited the deputy minister from holding concurrent positions. If anyone objected to this, citizens are welcome to use constitutional channels.
