TNI Commander Appoints Major General Edwin Adrian To Be Danpaspampres

TNI Commander General Agus Subiyanto transferred the Commander of the Army Staff and Command School (Seskoad) Major General TNI Edwin Adrian Sumantha to a new position as Commander of the Presidential Security Forces (Danpaspampres).

Reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, May 28, the mutation was contained in the Decree of the Commander of the Indonesian Armed Forces Number Kep/667/V/2025 which was set on May 27, 2025, regarding the dismissal and appointment of positions within the Indonesian National Army.

Based on the telegram, Edwin replaced Major General TNI Achiruddin, who previously served as Danpaspampres.

Meanwhile, the position left by Edwin, namely Danseskoad, will be filled by Major General TNI Hendry Antariksa, who previously served as Dankoopssus TNI.

Edwin graduated from the Military Academy in 1997. After graduating from being an officer, Edwin immediately entered the elite AD unit, namely the Special Forces Command or Kopassus.

Since that year, he has served in Kopassus, precisely in group 3 Kopassus, which has now changed to group 4 Kopassus.

His brilliant career earned him many awards, especially when he received education from the Dean of Academic Affairs Writing Award from JFSC National Defense University, USA.

He was also declared the best graduate when he received education at the XLVII Sesko TNI Dikreg in 2020.

Edwin also held several strategic positions during his career in the Indonesian Army. One of the most classy was the Dandim 0501/Central Jakarta twice in 2014-2015 and in 2017.

At that time, Edwin played an important role because he had to maintain the center of state government in Central Jakarta during the Asian Games international event.

Because he was considered successful, he was considered successful in carrying out his duties, Edwin was trusted to be the Vice President's Aide.

After that, like a plane taking off, Edwin's career was getting more and more uphill.

Together with Prabowo

Edwin and President Prabowo Subianto have some things in common. One of the most prominent is that the two of them were the same as Kopassus red beret dropouts, formerly named Kopassandha in the Prabowo era.

Several positions in Kopassus were Edwin emban, such as when he served at the Makopassus as the Pabandya Lidgal Sintel Kopassus from 2011 to 2012. Furthermore, Colonel Inf Edwin served as Danyon 31 Group 3 Kopassus.

Edwin really returned to work with Prabowo when he served as Karo Public Relations of the Secretariat General of the Ministry of Defense. At that time Prabowo was still serving as Minister of Defense in the second era of President Joko Widodo's administration.

After Prabowo was elected president, Edwin, who at that time was still the rank of Brigadier General TNI, received a new assignment to become Danseskoad. After that, Edwin was promoted to Major General TNI and assumed a new responsibility as Danpaspampres.

Now Edwin will return to accompany Prabowo at the Presidential Palace.
