JAKARTA - The terrorism case that caught Munarman as a suspect raises new problems. The National Police and Munarman's team of lawyers claim each other over the evidence confiscated from the former FPI Secretariat office.

At the beginning of the arrest, the National Police said they had confiscated various pieces of evidence in the form of raw materials for making bombs.

Head of the Public Relations Division of the National Police, Kombes Ahmad Ramadhan, said that at least there was a liquid nitrate and TATP powder (triacetone triperoxide) which was confiscated by Densus 88 Anti-terror.

"Then several tubes whose contents are powder are put in bottles whose powders contain very high levels of nitrate in the acetone type and that will also be investigated by investigators. Finally, several plastic bottles are containing TATP liquid", Ramadhan told reporters, Tuesday, April 27th.

The two pieces of evidence have similarities with items found during the arrest of Husein Hasni (HH), who is now a terrorist suspect. But the evidence will be investigated by the Police Center for Research and Development.

"This TATP liquid is an Aston used for explosives similar to those found in Condet and Bekasi some time ago. Forensic Laboratory will also study the contents of the liquid", said Ramadhan.

A day later, Former Secretary of FPI Legal Aid, Aziz Yanuar responded to the statement from the Police. He said the evidence confiscated by Densus 88 Anti-terror was not the raw material for making bombs or explosives.

"No, there is no (explosives). To my knowledge, doesn't exist", said Aziz.

Based on the information obtained, said Aziz, the only items confiscated by Densus 88 were powder and bathroom cleaning fluid. So, these items are not for making bombs.

"That the information I got was for cleaning toilets, toilets and places of ablution. Such is the information from several parties", said Aziz.

Then, the National Police immediately denied the statement made by Munarman's lawyer. He emphasized that the evidence confiscated was the raw materials for making bombs.

Ahmad Ramadhan said the evidence had the potential to be the raw material for making TATP explosives. This is based on the results of the Puslabfor examination.

"We convey the identification results of the Puslabfor team which has carried out the identification, concluding that the items found are chemicals that have the potential to be used as raw materials for the manufacture of TATP explosives", said Ramadhan.

The evidence found was also called flammable. These items have the potential to be used as raw materials for making Molotov cocktails.

The team also seized evidence in the form of chemicals to make TNT (Trinitrotoluene).

"Second, flammable and vulnerable chemicals are used as materials for making Molotov cocktails and third, chemicals which are the raw material for TNT's explosives", he said.

Meanwhile, regarding the development of Munarman's investigation, it is still ongoing. Special Detachment 88 investigators dig up his statements about the connection with various acts of terror.

"Densus 88 Anti-terror Police investigators are continuing to deepen and develop, of course, related to the involvement of acts of terrorism committed by M in several regions in Indonesia, including his involvement in terrorism network", said Ramadhan.

However, Ramadan said the bomb-making standard was indeed found in the toilet cleaning fluid. For that reason, Munarman's lawyer said that all the items confiscated were cleaning fluids.

"At the time they were found, among them were toilet cleaners. So not all of these items were toilet cleaners. It is confirmed that what Densus found was toilet cleaners," said Ramadhan.

"So the Densus found one of them. Because what was found was a lot of evidence. Among them, toilet cleaners", continued Ramadan.

Ramadan again explained that the items confiscated were not the main ingredients for making bombs but rather complementary materials.

"Not basic materials, materials that can be used (explosives). These materials are used as materials," he said.

Munarman was arrested by Densus 88 on Tuesday, April 27 at around 15.30 WIB at Modern Hills Housing, Cinangka, Pamulang, South Tangerang.

During the arrest process, Munarman was not allowed to explain anything. In fact, to just use sandals. When he arrived at Jakarta Metro Police Munarman was taken blindfolded and handcuffed.

Munarman is suspected of mobilizing other people to commit criminal acts of terrorism, conspiring to commit crimes of terrorism, and withholding information about criminal acts of terrorism.

After Munarman was arrested, the Densus 88 Team also searched the former FPI banned mass organization office in Petamburan, Central Jakarta. During the search, the team found the explosive raw materials for TATP or triacetone triperoxide, acetone, and nitrates.

In addition, Munarman was already named a suspect a week before his arrest on April 20. Determination of the suspect is known based on a statement from the National Police.
