JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government continues to develop the Jakarta Peace and Public Order Ambassador Student Program (Prabu) as an effort to form a student character who is aware of the law and has social concern, not only academically intelligent.

"Prabu Jakarta is an effort to voice kindness," said the Daily Executive (Plh) of the Jakarta Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP), Tamo Sijabat, during the 'Prabu Edu Action' activity in Jakarta, Monday, May 19.

Tamo explained that through this program, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government wants to create an active participation space for high school and vocational students, as well as encourage the creation of a conducive school environment.

"If there is a smoking ban, they have the courage to say that they shouldn't. Including when there are illegal levies, they have the courage to report it to the Satpol PP," he said.

Prabu Jakarta is not just a forum for socialization, but also provides opportunities for students to become agents of social change. Students are encouraged to be directly involved in conveying the values of order in a humane and communicative manner.

"You will go directly to the field, walk with other students, convey a message of order in a more enjoyable way. If it is conveyed by Satpol PP, the impression is an order. From you, it is easier to accept," said Tamo.

Since its launch in 2023, this program has confirmed around 1,000 students from 40 high school and vocational schools in Jakarta as Prabu Jakarta. The same number was also confirmed this year.

Prabu Jakarta is a partner of Satpol PP in maintaining order in the school environment as well as helping socialize various regional regulations to the community.

"Prabu Jakarta is not only a cadre of disciplinary enforcement in schools, but can also help the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government in socializing applicable regulations," said Tamo.
