BEKASI - The Bekasi Regency Government, West Java, has promised at least 2,000 new job vacancies in the industrial sector through the Job Fair which will be held on 27 May 2025.
Deputy Regent of Bekasi Asep Surya Atmaja said the number of job vacancies was obtained by the collaboration between local governments and a number of companies operating in the Bekasi Regency area.
"As of this weekend, more than 2,000 job vacancies have been recorded. God willing, it will continue to grow ahead of the Job Fair," said Asep in Cikarang, Antara, Sunday, May 18.
The Job Fair entitled Bekasi Pasti Work Expo 2025 will be held offline at the President University Convention Center, Jababeka. The local government has prepared outlet facilities for each participating company.
So far, there have been 50 companies that have registered through the official Job Fair 2025 link. Some of them will even immediately conduct an interview at the location.
Asep said that the initiative to open thousands of job vacancies was part of the priority program for the 100 working days of the Bekasi Regent and Deputy Regent, especially in reducing the unemployment rate and extreme poverty.
"We take a direct approach to the company through a road show with the legislature and regional apparatus. This is our real commitment to pick up the ball for the welfare of the community," he said.
He hopes that the people of Bekasi Regency, especially job seekers, can take full advantage of this opportunity. Prospective applicants only need to bring application files in digital form on their cellphones and scan barcodes at the outlets of the destination company.
"Practical and efficient. We want this event to really open the widest possible access for the community to work," he said.
The government also stated that this activity is in line with Bekasi Regency Regulation Number 9 of 2019 concerning the expansion of job opportunities, which emphasizes the importance of partnerships between the government and the business world.
"The company's positive response shows support for local government programs. This indicates a common vision to build a more advanced and prosperous Bekasi Regency," said Asep.
