Prabowo: At The Age Of 73, I Just Want To Leave My Good Name

President Prabowo Subianto stated that at the age of almost 73 years, he only wanted to leave his good name by running the government fairly and cleanly. He made this statement in front of thousands of participants of the 4th Congress of the Greater Indonesia Tunas Center Management (Tidar) at the Borobudur Hotel, Jakarta, Saturday, May 17, 2025.

"My age is 73 years, I just want to leave my good name. I will carry out my duties, I will uphold justice, I will fight all forms of corruption in this republic indiscriminately," Prabowo said in his remarks.

Prabowo emphasized his commitment to upholding the law and eradicating practices that harm the state. He stated that he was sworn in to carry out the 1945 Constitution and all its derivative rules consistently.

"Who violates the law, who maintains practices that result in losses to the state's wealth, we will act. The state's wealth must be used as much as possible for the prosperity of the people," he said.

Prabowo claims that within six months of his reign, the state has succeeded in saving hundreds of trillions of rupiah from budget leaks. He said efforts to eradicate corruption would continue to be carried out intensively.

"Almost every day we uncover corruption cases and they will not stop," said Prabowo.

He also mentioned various challenges faced by Indonesia in the future, including poverty and hunger. However, he is optimistic that if the government works cleanly and seriously, Indonesia will become a strong nation.

"We face many challenges, many difficulties. But our strength is great, as long as we are determined to have a clean and corruption-free government. We have prepared poverty reduction and the elimination of hunger from Indonesia," said Prabowo.
