JAKARTA - Hajj Organizing Officers (PPIH) in Saudi Arabia again remind Indonesian pilgrims to always remember the number of the Shalawat Bus and its terminal, considering the atmosphere at the Grand Mosque, Makkah, is getting denser.

"The congregation is advised to memorize the bus number or route number according to the bus card. This bus card must always be brought, so that if you forget to see the card," said the Head of Transportation PPIH Saudi Arabia Mujib Roni in Makkah as reported by ANTARA, Saturday, May 17.

There are three terminal points around the Grand Mosque which are the stops of the Shalawat Jamaah Indonesia Bus. First, the Syib Amir terminal which serves pilgrims who live in the Syisyah and Raudhah areas.

Second, the Ajyad terminal serves pilgrims who live in the Misfalah area. The three Jabal Ka'bah Terminals, serve pilgrims living in the Jarwal area.

Mujib Roni said that his party prepared the Shalawat Bus with a ratio of 1:400 people. Each terminal has a bus with a different route and will stop at a hotel with a certain number. The bus number equals the bus route number.

He reminded that the Shalawat Bus service was included in the financing element at the cost of organizing the Hajj (BPIH), so that pilgrims did not need to give tips.

"The drivers have been paid so that the congregation does not need to give wazis (tip), let alone illegal levies," he said.

The Shalawat bus operates for 24 hours to escort pilgrims from the hotel to the Grand Mosque and vice versa. The entire fleet has been installed with GPS and CCTV which can be accessed by officers.

Of the hundreds of fleets provided, there are at least 32 buses with friendly specifications for wheelchair users, people with disabilities, and congregants with other special needs.

Buses are specially designed with low decks so that wheelchairs can be passed, and on the inside also a special place to store wheelchairs is prepared.
