PPK Tabalong Health Office Threatened With 1.5 Years In Prison, Allegedly Rp400 Million State Loss

TABALONG - The Public Prosecutor (JPU) of the Tabalong District Attorney, South Kalimantan, demanded a sentence of 1 year and 6 months in prison to Lukmanul Hakim, the commitment-making official (PPK) of the Tabalong Health Office, in the case of alleged corruption in the construction of the Kelua Hospital (RS).

In addition to imprisonment, the Public Prosecutor also demanded that the defendant pay a fine of Rp. 50 million, subsidiary to three months in prison. The charges were read out during a trial at the Banjarmasin Corruption Court (Tipikor), Thursday, May 15.

"If it is not paid, it will be replaced with imprisonment for three months," said Head of the Tabalong Kejari Intelligence Section, M Fadhil, quoted from Antara.

Fadhil said the defendant was considered legally and convincingly proven to have committed or participated in an act with the aim of benefiting oneself, others, or corporations.

The defendant is also considered to have abused his authority to cause state losses.

This case caused state losses of around Rp. 400 million. A total of five people were named as suspects, namely Taufiqurrakhman Hamdie (former Head of the Health Service), Lukmanul Hakim (PPK), and three contractors: Imam Wahyudi, Daryanto, and Yandi Santo.

The suspects were charged with Article 2 Paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 18 Paragraph (1) letter b of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption, as amended by Law Number 20 of 2001, junto Article 55 Paragraph (1) 1st of the Criminal Code. Subsidiary to Article 3 of the Anti-Corruption Law in conjunction with Article 55 of the Criminal Code.

A number of replacement money has also been handed over to the Tabalong Kejari investigators as a form of accountability for the suspects, namely: Taufiqurrakhman Hamdie Rp40 million, Imam Wahyudi Rp40 million, Daryanto Rp15 million, Yandi Santo Rp50 million.

The panel of judges had previously sentenced four other defendants. Taufiqurrakhman Hamdie to 1 year in prison, a fine of Rp. 50 million, Imam Wahyudi to 1 year and 2 months in prison, a fine of Rp. 50 million, compensation of Rp. 318.5 million.
