Corruption Of Dompu COVID-19 Funds Below Rp100 Million, Kajati NTB: The Potential Loss Is Little

The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) stated that the potential loss in the alleged corruption case in the management of COVID-19 funds at the Dompu Regional General Hospital (RSUD) worth Rp59 billion only ranged from Rp100 million.

"The potential loss is a little. Because the value is small, I leave it to the inspectorate. Small is below one hundred," said Head of the NTB Attorney General's Office, Enen Saribanon, in Mataram, Wednesday, May 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

By handing over to the inspectorate, Enen said that his party is now waiting for the results of the government's internal control agency (APIP).

"We will (wait) the certainty from the inspectorate. Later the inspectorate can have a conclusion. If the small value already has a full return, yes, it could be like that (stopping handling)," he said.

Head of the Special Crime Investigation Section of the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Hendarsyah Y. P. previously said that the handling of this case was still struggling at the investigation stage.

He admitted that the NTB Prosecutor's Office had handled the case for a long time from the issuance of the Investigation Order of the NTB Kajati Number: PTINT-13/N.2/Fd.1/06/2023 dated June 12, 2023.

From a series of investigations that have been running since mid-2023, Hendarsyah stated that the prosecutor's office has not found any indications of a criminal act of corruption.

"There is no criminal indication at all," he said.

Plt. Assistant for Special Crimes at the NTB Prosecutor's Office, Ely Rahmawati, at the end of May 2024, said that the prosecutor's office at the investigation stage took the NTB Inspectorate to see potential state financial losses.

The results of the inspectorate, he explained, will be one of the complete documents to determine the legal steps of the NTB Prosecutor's Office in handling the case.

"So, this is still an investigation, we are waiting for the results from the inspectorate to determine the next legal steps," said Ely.

Dalam tahap penyelidikan, Kejati NTB tercatat sudah menerjunkan tim untuk melakukan klarifikasi para pihak terkait pengelolaan dana COVID-19 di Kabupaten Dompu.

A number of regional officials have been clarified, including the former Director of the Dompu Hospital, the person in charge of the COVID-19 Emergency Hospital at Sanggilo Square, and staff of the Dompu Hospital.

The management of COVID-19 funds that are suspected of having problems occurred in 2021 and 2022. In two years of management, the Dompu Hospital received the distribution of COVID-19 funds from the Indonesian Ministry of Health (Kemenkes) amounting to Rp40 billion.

Apart from the Indonesian Ministry of Health, the Dompu Hospital in 2022 also received the distribution of COVID-19 funds from the Central Health Service Directorate amounting to Rp19 billion.
