JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Satpol PP together with the TNI and Polri have created an integrated post on the border of Jalan Tambak-Sultan Agung, Manggarai, South Jakarta, in the aftermath of the brawl of residents in different areas.

Head of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government Satriadi Gunawan said the integrated post was to prevent brawls between residents of Central Jakarta and South Jakarta.

"The TNI-Polri integrated posts include Satpol PP to prevent a brawl from happening again," said Satriadi, Sunday, May 11, 2025.

According to Satriadi's statement, the group of residents involved in the brawl in the Manggarai area was caused by several factors.

"Reports from the public there are those who say that the diversion of drug trafficking, content, and offenses. We are still looking for the exact cause. We still can't confirm it," he said.

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government will provide guidance to sub-district heads, village heads, RT/RW, community leaders, local religious leaders so that brawls between residents do not happen again.

"From us, coaching through sub-district heads, village heads, RT/RW, community leaders, religious leaders should not happen again," he said.

However, if a criminal element is found, he continued, the perpetrators will be handed over to the police for legal processing.

"If there is a crime, the police will automatically run it. For example there are victims and CCTV will be recorded," he said.

He said that the cause of the brawl in the Manggarai area was difficult for the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government to predict. However, he continued, the government can provide understanding to the public so that there will be no more actions against residents.

Meanwhile, regarding the guidance of the brawlers in the Military barracks, Satriadi was reluctant to comment much. He said that he was not competent for the policy.
