Prabowo: I Said That The President Of Dolls Was Controlled By Jokowi, That's Not True

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto has denied the notion that he is a 'doll president' and is controlled by the 7th President Joko Widodo (Jokowi).

The President explained that he is close to all former Indonesian presidents, not only Jokowi, but also the 6th President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) and the 5th President Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"I was said to be the doll president, I was controlled by Mr. Jokowi. It was as if Mr. Jokowi called me every night. I said it was not true," said President Prabowo while giving directions at the Plenary Cabinet Session as reported by ANTARA, Monday, May 5.

President Prabowo emphasized that consultation with his predecessor, the former president of the Republic of Indonesia, was a wise move, because the former presidents had gone through times leading the country.

"Consultation, ask for opinion, ask for advice, he is 10 years old in power, I ask to meet him, there is no problem. I went to Pak SBY, there was no problem. I went to Megawati, there was no problem," said the President.

The president then joked that he might also want to face the 4th President Abdurrahman Wahid (Gus Dur). However, this wish was impossible, because Gus Dur had died on December 30, 2009.

"Against Pak Harto, face Bung Karno if possible," said the President jokingly.

The President then touched on the issue of the diploma which is currently addressed to Jokowi.

"The issue of diplomas is questioned, later my diploma will be questioned," said President Prabowo.

The President chaired the Plenary Cabinet Session at the Presidential Office, Monday afternoon, accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

Today's cabinet meeting was attended by almost all ministers of the Red and White Cabinet and heads of agencies.
