Jambi Police have named two suspects in the beating of two residents of the Anak Dalam Tribe (SAD) in Tebo Ilir, Tebo, Jambi, which resulted in the death of one victim.

The two suspects are NK (60) and HD (43). Meanwhile, the two victims are BP (25) and PJ (27). The victim on behalf of PJ died after being beaten by the suspect.

Manang explained that the initial beating occurred when the company's security patrolled the oil palm plantation after receiving information about the alleged theft of palm oil.

Security combed through oil palm plantations and found that the two victims (SAD residents) were sitting at the scene.

When secured by security, the two victims fought back and finally the incident occurred. The perpetrators of the beating grabbed the victim, and others hit the victim with wood.

The police are currently identifying at least five to 10 people involved in the beating.

"Identification has several names, soon they will be held accountable, the perpetrators of the beatings will immediately go to the police," said Manang.

The two suspects are subject to Article 170 concerning the criminal act of beatings with a penalty of 12 years in prison.
