JAKARTA - The National Counterterrorism Agency (BNPT) in collaboration with the Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) through PT Bio Farma (Persero) handed over scholarships worth IDR 66.75 million and work equipment assistance to deradicalization partners and survivors in Bekasi Regency, West Java, Tuesday (29/4).

Head of the BNPT Planning, Law and Public Relations Bureau Brigadier General Tejo Wijanarko said the activity was part of the implementation of the National Action Plan for the Prevention and Control of Violent Extremism (RAN-PE).

"The synergy program between ministries and institutions that belong to SOEs has been carried out well and continues to grow," said Brigadier General Pol. Tejo, as quoted from a confirmed statement in Jakarta, Thursday.

He explained that the provision of assistance was based on a decree from the Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs (Menko Polkam).

Over time, activities were felt to develop, run well, and have a wider scope, so that the provision of assistance was increased to an activity that was basically the president's regulation, namely RAN PE.

The assistance handed over was received by 22 deradicalization partners and survivors. With the collaboration between BNPT, Bio Farma, and local governments, it is hoped that the program can be sustainable and have a positive impact on the people in Bekasi Regency.

For this reason, Tejo said that the provision of assistance will continue to be expanded by involving local governments because it is a sustainable activity.

"This is an activity that will continue. If yesterday in five provinces 26 cities/districts, in the future it will be more extended and of course to local governments," he said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Bekasi Regency Assistant for Government and People's Welfare, Sri Enny Mainiarti, expressed his appreciation to BNPT and PT Biofarma for their support in human resource development.

"Today's activities are clear evidence of the synergy between the government, BUMN, and all elements of society in strengthening social resilience through an approach to empowering education and productive economy," Sri said on the same occasion.

He hopes that this support will not only provide material assistance, but also raise the spirit of independence and a sense of community unity.

"Through activities like this, strengthen unity and commitment to build a better future, and make this nation a strong nation facing various challenges," he said.
