KPK Will Ask For Yuddy Renaldi's Appointment As President Director Of Bank BJB When Checking Ridwan Kamil

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto confirmed that former West Java Governor Ridwan Kamil or Kang Emil was summoned regarding allegations of corruption in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023. Investigation related to several things will be carried out by investigators.

"There is a statement that investigators will definitely ask," Setyo told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Thursday, May 1.

One of the information that investigators will ask, continued Setyo, is related to the evidence found at Ridwan Kamil's house during a search in March.

It is known that investigators have confiscated a black Royal Enfield motorbike and a blue Mercedes Benz 280 SL.

Then, it is possible that investigators will explore other information such as the appointment of Yuddy Renaldi as the President Director of Bank BJB. "It concerns the material, we are waiting for the time, yes," said the former KPK Director of Investigation.

"We will inform you later after the examination," continued Setyo.

Meanwhile, Yuddy Renaldi became the head of the regional bank when Ridwan Kamil served as Governor of West Java who automatically became Commissioner of Bank BJB. He then resigned after being named one of the five suspects by the KPK.

At that time, Ridwan Kamil, who was a shareholder, chose Yuddy as director. The appointment was then carried out through the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (GMS) for the 2018 Financial Year of Bank BJB in Bandung City, Tuesday, April 30, 2019.

Previously reported, the KPK named five suspects for alleged corruption in the placement of advertisements for PT Bank Pembangunan Daerah Jawa Barat and Banten, Tbk or Bank BJB (BJBR) for the period 2021-2023. They are former President Director of Bank BJB Yuddy Renaldi and Head of Bank BJB Corporate Secretary Division Widi Hartoto.

Then he was also named a suspect from the private sector, namely the Controlling Agency of Antedja Muliatama and Cakrawala Kreasi Mandiri Kin Asikin Dulmanan; Controlling the BSC Administration Agency and PT Wahana Semesta Bandung Express (WSBE) Suhendrik; and Controlling PT Cipta Karya Sukses Bersama (CKSB) and PT Cipta Karya Mandiri Bersama (CKMB) Raden Sophan Jaya Kusuma. The investigation warrant (sprindik) was issued on February 27, 2025.

Currently, the detention has not been carried out on five suspects. However, they have been prevented from traveling abroad for six months and can be extended as needed.
