DENPASAR - Udayana University (Unud) Bali fired a student with the initials SLKDP for being proven to have sexually harassed online by creating immoral content.

"The sanction of dismissal is a decisive step that must be taken in order to maintain the integrity and dignity of the institution," said Unud Chancellor Prof. Ir I Ketut Sudarsana in Denpasar, Bali, Wednesday, April 30.

The campus has issued Chancellor's Decree Unud Number 605/UN14/HK/2025 concerning administrative sanctions for students who are perpetrators of sexual violence.

The student majoring in accounting for the 2022 class was sentenced to dismissal after going through an in-depth investigation process by the Faculty Ethics Team and the Unud Sexual Violence Prevention and Handling Task Force (Satgas PPKS).

The perpetrator violated Article 12 paragraph 2 letter f of the Regulation of the Ministry of Education, Culture of Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek) Number 55 of 2024.

The Chancellor of Unud said that the perpetrator was proven to have committed acts of sexual violence in the form of taking, recording, and/or distributing photos and visual recordings of victims with sexual nuances without consent.

Therefore, his party does not tolerate serious violations that damage the image and reputation of the university.

"The actions of the perpetrators do not reflect the character of academic people who are superior, independent and cultured, as stated in the campus vision and mission," he said.

He reminded all students and students to maintain moral commitment because the campus was built on the basis of integrity, dignity, and mutual respect for the values that must be upheld by all members of the academic community.

Previously, the Head of the Public Communication Unit of Udayana University, Dewi Pascarani, said that 37 victims had reported themselves as victims of the perpetrator's actions.

He explained that initially the alleged sexual harassment was revealed after reporting from the victim to the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Economics and Business (DPMFEB) Unud.

Then the DPMFEB reported to the dean (dewan of student representatives) and then the FEB dean reported the incident to the Rectorate.

The case also went viral on social media, including X, who reported allegations of harassment by a young man with the initials SLKDP who often edited women's photos into immoral photos.

The photos were allegedly made using artificial intelligence technology and then distributed to social media.
