Police Are Still Searching For CCTV Evidence Regarding The Burglary Of Shophouses In Kemayoran

The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police is still investigating the case of a shophouse burglary on Jalan Raya Kebon Blank, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta. A number of CCTV footage from around the scene are now being collected as evidence.

During the crime scene, the police found irregularities because there were no signs of damage around the location. In addition, the identity of the perpetrator has not been identified.

"We have checked the crime scene and the victim has made a report," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kemayoran Police, Iptu Budi Setiadi, when confirmed, Tuesday (29/4).

The police have also tracked down the whereabouts of the victim's cellphone using the Find My iPhone feature. The last location was detected in the area of Jalan Gunung Sahari Raya, Central Jakarta. However, until now it is not known who brought the device.

"We have gone to the location based on tracking, but we don't know who carried the cellphone, so we didn't have time to search," he explained.

Iptu Budi added that his party was still trying to find other CCTV footage around the crime scene to help with the identification process of the perpetrators.

"We are still looking for CCTV evidence and this case is still under investigation," he concluded.

Previously, it was reported that a shophouse on Jalan Raya Kebon Blank Number 115, Kemayoran District, Central Jakarta, was burglarized. The victim with the initials M (25) lost two cell phones, namely the iPhone 15 and the iPhone XS. The incident occurred when the victim fell asleep at the location. The perpetrator is suspected of breaking into the shop by prying the lock.

The victim has made a report to the Kemayoran Police with the number LP/B/227/IV/2025/SPKT/POLSEK KEMAYORAN/POLRES METRO JAKPUS/POLDA METRO JAYA.
