Adopting the richness of Indonesian art, the Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles in collaboration with ArtCenter College of Design, Pasadena created a mural on the outside wall of the KJRI Los Angeles office building, "said the Indonesian Consul General in Los Angeles, Saud P. The project, which began with a series of virtual classes introducing various aspects of life in Indonesia, began in mid-2020.

"The Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles collaborates with academics, professionals and Indonesian students in Los Angeles to hold virtual classes as an effort to provide an overview for students at ArtaCenter College of Design to develop a mural concept that will be painted on the outside wall of the KJRI Los Angeles office building," added Saud. .

The teaching staff of ISI Yogyakarta, Nano Warsono in the virtual class said that art is adaptive so that it can be expressed in public spaces through mural painting. Apart from that, Indonesian art is also a story that is conveyed through pictures so that it is easy to understand through murals.

The mural that will be depicted on the walls of the Indonesian Consulate General in Los Angeles is the result of a design developed by Art Center College of Design students including three Indonesian students, namely Alithia Z Hadiwibowo, Amanda Oesoef and Audrey Murty who are currently studying higher education in Los Angeles.
