JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency (Dishub) canceled the odd-even motor vehicle system in Jakarta on Friday, April 18, 2025.
Head of DKI Jakarta Transportation Agency, Syafrin Liputo, said that the elimination of odd-even today coincided with the national holiday commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ.
"In connection with the commemoration of the Death of Jesus Christ, the provisions of the odd-even system on 25 roads in Jakarta on Friday, April 18, 2025 were abolished," said Syafrin in his statement, Monday, April 14.
Syafrin said that the determination of this holiday was based on the Joint Decree of the Minister of Religion Number 1017 of 2024, the Minister of Manpower Number 2 of 2024 and the Minister of Administrative Reform of the Republic of Indonesia Number 2 of 2024 concerning National Holidays and Joint Leave in 2025.
Then, Article 3 Paragraph (3) of Governor Regulation Number 88 of 2019 states that traffic restrictions with the odd-even system are not enforced on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays stipulated by a presidential decree.
"We are advised by vehicle drivers to always comply with existing traffic signs, prioritize road safety and follow the directions of officers in the field," he said.
It is known that the Jakarta odd-even system is enforced on 25 roads on Monday to Friday which are divided into two sessions, where the first session is enforced from 06.00 WIB to 10.00 WIB. While the second session is enforced from 16.00 WIB to 21.00 WIB.
