JAKARTA - Member of Commission I of the House of Representatives Sukamta supports President Prabowo Subianto who stated that he is ready to evacuate injured victims and orphans who are victims of Israeli genocide in Gaza, Palestine, to Indonesia. Sukamta hopes that the evacuation of injured victims and Palestinian orphans can be carried out soon.

"After Israel unilaterally violated the ceasefire agreement, bombings continued to be carried out and even targeted at refugee tents, humanitarian officers, and journalists, the conditions in Gaza that we can watch through photos and videos circulating were horrific," Sukamta said, Wednesday, April 9.

The victim fell again, while most of the hospitals were destroyed. So it is very important to immediately evacuate, especially the injured victims and also the orphans," he continued.

According to Sukamta, the evacuation of injured victims and Palestinian orphans needs to be pursued by many countries including Indonesia, given the huge number.

"There were around 120,000 injured, more than 38 thousand orphans. This is a very large number. There needs to be international community assistance to help Gazans," said Sukamta.

The member of the House of Representatives Commission in charge of international relations also stated that the evacuation of injured victims and orphans was different from the crazy idea of US President Donald Trump to move Gazans.

According to Sukamta, Indonesia's evacuation plan is only temporary in order to help recover injuries and also trauma healing.

"As President Prabowo said, if conditions in Gaza have improved, they will be returned to their homeland," he explained.

Sukamta also hopes that there will be a concrete solution to the immediate cessation of genocide carried out by Israel to Palestinians, during President Prabowo's state visit to five Middle Eastern countries. Namely, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Qatar, and Jordan on April 9-15.

Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyatakan Indonesia siap mengevakuasi warga Gaza, Palestina, yang terluka akibat serangan brutal di wilayah tersebut. Mereka akan dibawa ke Indonesia untuk mendapatkan perawatan medis.

This was conveyed by Prabowo before the state visit agenda to Turkey and several Middle Eastern countries. President Prabowo also revealed that he would send the Minister of Foreign Affairs (Menlu) Sugiono to consult this with the Palestinian government.
