Eid Backflow On The Cikampek Toll Road Starts To Be Crowded

JAKARTA - Lebaran's backflow on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road began to become congested until officers engineered the contraflow traffic on the road on Wednesday night (2/4).

VP Corporate Secretary and Legal Ria Marlinda Paallo in Karawang Regency, West Java, Wednesday, said that currently the volume of vehicle traffic towards Jakarta on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road is being observed to be starting to experience congestion.

To ensure smooth traffic flow, PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) supports the discretion of the police who implemented a contraflow at KM 55 to KM 47 of the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road towards Jakarta at 20:57 WIB.

"We urge Trans Java toll road users to prioritize safety, prepare themselves before entering trips on toll roads," he said, quoted by Antara.

Jasa Marga also reminded motorists to ensure that they are in top condition, ensure adequacy of power, fuel and electronic money balances, and comply with signs and directions from officers in the field.

Meanwhile, on the Cipali Toll Road, on Wednesday evening it was reported that the backflow of vehicles to Jakarta had increased with smooth crowded conditions.

From 00: 00 WIB to 18:00 WIB, around 33 thousand vehicles crossed the Cipali Toll Road (from Jakarta to Cirebon), with an average of 1.4 thousand vehicles passing per hour from 15:00 WIB to 18:00 WIB.

On the other hand, as many as 26.3 thousand vehicles via Cipali (from Cirebon to Jakarta), increased by about 62 percent compared to the volume of traffic at the previous hour.

The increase in traffic volume was observed at 15:00 WIB to 18:00 WIB, with an average of 2.7 thousand vehicles passing per hour.

For traffic regulation, Astra Tol Cipali follows a Joint Decree (SKB) of three agencies, where traffic engineering will be applied on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at 14:00 WIB until Monday, April 7, 2025 at 24:00 WIB.
