Didit Visits Teuku Umar, PDIP: Megawati-Prabowo Gathering Is Just A Matter Of Time

JAKARTA - Chairman of the PDI-P (PDIP) DPP Ahmad Basarah said the meeting between his general chairman, Megawati Soekarnoputri, and President Prabowo Subianto was just a matter of time.

This was conveyed by Basarah when asked about the presence of Ragowo Hediprasetyo Djojohadikusumo or Didit Hediprasetyo at Megawati's residence, Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta during the moment of Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah. The presence of President Prabowo's son is said to be the initial momentum for the meeting.

"I think the friendship between Mrs. Mega and Mr. Prabowo is just a matter of time," Basarah told reporters, Monday, March 31.

Basarah also said that Didit's presence showed the closeness between Prabowo and Megawati's families.

"Because Mrs. Mega has repeatedly said that the personal relationship between Mrs. Mega and Mr. Prabowo has been very good from the past until now," he said.

Meanwhile, Secretary General of the Gerindra Party Ahmad Muzani said Didit Hediprasetyo, who is Prabowo's son, has an intimate relationship with the family of the Speaker of the DPR, Puan Maharani. Therefore, he was present for halal bihalal at the house of the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia Megawati Soekarnoputri.

"Didit is very familiar with Mrs. Puan and Mrs. Puan's family here. So she enjoys this Eid atmosphere," Muzani told reporters at Megawati's house, Jalan Teuku Umar, Menteng, Central Jakarta.

Muzani said there was no political discussion in the moment of friendship.

"Talk about Eid about Eid and, yes, Eid al-Fitr is all eating minal azin faizin, apologize physically and mentally, that's how it is," said the Chairman of the MPR.

He also emphasized that Megawati had not entrusted any messages for Prabowo or vice versa. "No, nothing, there is no request. Nothing, safe," said Muzani.

Didit conveyed no statement after leaving Megawati's house at around 13.06 WIB. He chose to hurry to his car.

Previously reported, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri did not hold an open house orgriya title at the moment of Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri. However, the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia received a number of guests, including the Governor and Deputy Governor of Jakarta Pramono Anung-Rano Karno.
