Vehicle Volume In Nagreg Increases 100 Percent In The 2025 Eid Period (Between)

BANDUNG - The Bandung Regency Transportation Service (Dishub) revealed that the volume of vehicles on the Nagreg route connecting Bandung with Garut and Tasikmalaya to then to the Central Java region, rose 100 percent during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period.

"We can report starting D-7 yesterday, at least until D-4 there is an increase from usually 35,000 to 38,000, on D-4 about 75,000 vehicles have passed to Garut and Tasik," said Bandung Regency Transportation Agency Public Relations Coordinator Ruddy Heryadi in Nagreg, Friday.

The conclusion, according to Ruddy, is that the flow of homecoming has been felt since D-7 or D-6, but when compared to the flow of homecoming to the East, both Garut and Tasikmalaya in the previous year, the volume of traffic this time has decreased.

"The percentage can reach 15 to 20 percent of the decline every day. So there has been no significant increase compared to 2024. Maybe we can't confirm what the decline will be because it's still ongoing," he said.

In addition, according to Ruddy, the holiday will also be effective this Friday as a joint leave for Nyepi Day which will be followed by Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri on Monday (31/3).

"But indeed the increase began to be felt in the afternoon until last night, it was proven that Thursday (27/3) was the largest volume in the meantime, and we also predict on Friday, Saturday and even later we predict that the peak of homecoming flows will start on Sunday or D-1 Lebaran," he said.

Based on data provided by the Bandung Regency Transportation Service, as of 12.00 WIB this Friday, vehicles to Garut/Tasik are 67,916 units.

The number of vehicles passing through the Nagreg route this Friday is predicted to exceed the previous day, where on March 27, 2025 at 24.00 WIB, 74,799 vehicles passing Nagreg in the direction of Garut/Tasik.

The South route through Nagreg that connects Bandung to Garut, Tasikmalaya, Ciamis, Pangandaran, to Central Java began to be crowded with travelers on D-3 Lebaran 2025, from after dawn at 04.30 WIB.

At the location, ANTARA noted that starting from the intersection of the four Cileunyi toll gates, there have been many private vehicles of travelers with their luggage passing through the route, either four wheels or two wheels with number plates D, Z, F and B.

Trucks and inter-city passenger transportation are also seen as well as buses loaded with passengers, with their belongings, crossing the route to various destinations to return to their hometowns from residents.
