Deddy Sitorus' Allegation To Jokowi Must Be Accounted For, Don't Bring Public Opinion

JAKARTA - The statement by the Chairman of the DPP of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) Deddy Sitorus revealed that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo (Jokowi) instructed Hasto Kristiyanto to resign from his position as Secretary General of the PDIP to trigger a strong reaction from various parties.

In fact, Jokowi, who was furious, challenged him to reveal who the messenger was.

Chairman of the Underground Forces (Pasbata), David Febrian asked Deddy Sitorus not to go away and challenge him to show clear evidence.

According to him, if it is true that there is an order as he conveyed, show who gave the instructions, don't just lead opinions.

"Don't just talk nonsense, aka omons. Don't make it a habit to lead public opinion for certain interests. If it is true that there is an order as conveyed by Deddy Sitorus, show who gave the instructions and who was ordered to convey the message, don't just create slander that harms many parties, especially the former president Jokowi, "he said during a press conference in Jakarta.

In his statement, Dedi Sitorus revealed that there was a messenger who met the PDIP ranks in December 2024. Although he did not reveal the figure of the envoy, said Deddy Sitorus, the envoy was the authorized person.

"Around December 14, there were envoys who met us who told us that the Secretary General had to resign and then don't fire Jokowi and say that there were around 9 people from the PDI-P who were targeted by the police and the KPK," said Deddy Sitorus.

Pasbata emphasized that Deddy Sitorus' claim must be accountable and should not be used as a political tool which ends up only to divide or damage Indonesia's political stability.

If this statement is not proven, according to the general chairman of Pasbata, it will only add to the chaos of the political situation which is already quite dynamic.

On the other hand, David hopes that Jokowi can enjoy his retirement period in Solo calmly and safely. Instead of spreading negative issues, according to him, it is better to see the number of services that the 7th President of the Republic of Indonesia has given.

All presidents are good, because the goal is the same, namely to build a nation, not to see just a lack, because every human being must have a lack and is far from perfect.

"Let the 7th President Jokowi undergo his retirement period calmly and not be disturbed by non-substantial political issues, especially since Pak Jokowi has contributed greatly to this nation," he added.

The General Chairperson of Pasbata revealed that currently is a new era for Indonesia, led by President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

"This is an era of change, where corruptors who harm the state are arrested, and revealed, this must be supported because this is for the common interest, not just talking about now but for a better future for the nation," he said.

All parties are also reminded not to be easily carried away by issues such as Illicit Indonesia' which is clearly the cargo or orders of other parties who do not want Indonesia to advance. President Prabowo's work must be supported in building Indonesia.

"Don't let us be pitted against each other, the president and the entire cabinet are working hard, instead interested parties are creating negative issues. This is not good, the point is not to like to pit the people against each other just because of personal and group interests," he said.

Although the era of Prabowo and Gibran's leadership is still in its early stages and not yet fully maximal, Pasbata believes that this country's structuring process requires difficult time and effort.

"Menata negara itu bukanlah pekerjaan mudah. Jangan hanya smart berkomentar tanpa memahami bagaimana cara menata negara yang baik dan benar," katanya.

"All volunteers in all regions in Indonesia are hot with the behavior of PDIP politicians who are increasingly troubling. Don't try to fight against the Indonesian people. We will not remain silent!" he added.

The General Chairperson of Pasbata emphasized that this challenge clearly underscores the importance of strong evidence in every political claim submitted to the public, as well as hopes that all parties can maintain ongoing political stability. Pasbata calls for all forms of slander and manipulation to be stopped in order to maintain national unity and integrity.

"We are ready to fight, not only to defend the 7th President Jokowi, but also to maintain harmony and peace among the Indonesian people," he concluded.
