Criticized For Being President Director Of PFN, Ifan Seventeen Refuses To Be Dizzy

JAKARTA - Ifan Seventeen, or Riefian Fajarsyah, spoke up after his appointment as President Director of PFN received a lot of criticism from various circles.

Even so, Ifan admitted that he was honored to get great trust in leading PFN.

"I, Riefian Fajarsyah, or better known as Ifan Seventeen, with all humility, have been given a great mandate to serve the nation as the President Director of PFN," he said.

He realized that many parties questioned his background as a musician who is now appointed to lead state-owned film institutions.

"I am aware that many questions arise from various circles about how a person who comes from the music world now holds the highest responsibility in a state-owned film institution," said Ifan.

However, for Ifan, PFN is not only about who leads it, but how film and content in Indonesia are now the government's main concern in building creative and innovative human resources.

"PFN is not just about who leads it, but about how the film and content industry in Indonesia is now starting to become one of the government's main focuses in efforts to build creative, innovative, competitive human resources to the international level," he continued.

He also emphasized that now is the momentum of revival for the film and content industry, which has an important role in building the character and identity of the nation.

"Currently the momentum of revival, moving forward full of confidence; films, content, audiovisual works are one of the strongest weapons to build the character of the nation's identity as well as become a civil asset," he added.

"Hopefully PFN will become a big home for filmmakers, content creators, creative industry workers in Indonesia. Bismillah," he said.
