Prabowo Orders ASN To Improve: Bureaucratics Must Be Fast And Easy

JAKARTA - Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto emphasized to his ranks of ministers in the Advanced Indonesia Cabinet to improve all bureaucratic systems because he considered that so far the tendency of the bureaucracy had made it difficult for the people.

This was conveyed by Prabowo during the launch of a new mechanism for distributing regional ASN teacher allowances at the Ministry of Education and Culture office, Jakarta, Thursday, March 13.

"I welcome the initiative to launch a new mechanism effort by sending teacher allowances directly to the teacher's account. This is an effort to reduce inefficiency. What are you waiting for (liquid funds) for? What are you holding back for?" Prabowo said.

Prabowo emphasized to his government ranks to eliminate the complicated bureaucratic inefficiencies culture. According to him, this must be eliminated and learned to implement a more practical system.

"We have to eliminate the wrong cultures! If it can be made for a long time, why should it be made short, if it can be made for a long time, why should it be made easy. This culture is what we have to kikis," he said.

Prabowo also ordered ranks in the ministry to keep up with the times to serve and facilitate the people. He also warned officials who were unable to make an efficient bureaucratic system, to be evaluated.

"Birocrats who do not want to follow the times, we must evaluate. Don't think that being an ASN lives well and arbitrarily. No. Work efficiently to serve the people. I ask the ministers of the Coordinating Ministers to try to think about it, we formulate all system improvements," said Prabowo.

He reminded that being an ASN is a servant of the people. Therefore, he asked all parties who want and have become ASN employees to work optimally.

"This has a tendency for everyone to want to become ASN, suddenly (already entered) inside, not working optimally. (Punya) mentally if made it difficult for the people why is it made easy? We now have to change (the pattern of thinking) to make everything (the bureaucratic system) easy for the people, all fast and short," Prabowo ordered.
